Our Steelmaking Raw Materials and Markets training covers the following:

• Day 1 -- The vocabulary of raw materials - the physical world.
  The world of steel and its materials, how raw mateials are used, iron ore, scrap and metallics, and coking coal, PCI and coke.


• Day 2 -- Global and regional trends and issues – supply and demand balances by region, the carbon agenda. Markets and pricing.
  A macro view of the raw materials sector from a global and regional perspective – volumes and trade. The economics of raw materials and steelmaking, raw material and steel market forecasts, the impact of steelmaking raw materials on global climate change.


• Day 3 -- Raw materials price risk management,futures and hedging.
  Price risk management for raw materials, the use of iron ore futures, the use of coking coal, the use of other raw materials futures contracts.
