More about this map
New for 2009 from SBB is the Benelux Steel Map. This is packed full of the latest information about the Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg region.
Benelux is a traditional steel producing region with long established steel plants. Today many steel products bound for Germany pass through the area and it is known in Europe as being a major base for service centres and distributors. This high quality map shows 96 service centres covering the entire region.
At a glance you will also be able to see the relative concentration of crude steel plants around the area. Closer inspection provides an understanding of each mill’s steel production and capacity.
