HRC prices in Europe move effectively toward €560/t ex-works

During the last week, mills in northern Europe have remained firm in offering April production of hot rolled coils at €570-580/tonne ($756-769/t) ex-works base price, despite the slow demand in the market. Buyers have started bidding at €560/t ex-works but no deals have been heard in the market above €540-550/t, Steel Business Briefing learns from informed sources.
